The Christmas cheer was in abundance today. So many successes and achievements from Term 1 shaped our last day celebrations and all in a very festive atmosphere.
A firm favourite of these occasions is the update on the House Competitions and the current competition placings for our Houses was the source of much excitement….
Our secondary students have enjoyed another great term at the local primary school, Huynh Van Ngoi, whilst teaching English to the year 5 students as a part of their co-curricular activity (CCA) and community work.
British International School, Ho Chi Minh City (BIS HCMC) this year were once again entered into the very top group for the U15 FOBISIA Games at Thanyapura in Phuket, Thailand.
1st - 5th October marked Dyslexia Awareness Week 2018. This week was about raising awareness around the theme: “Dyslexic, not Dumb,” and countering the idea that learning disabilities, and Dyslexia in particular, affect intelligence.
Last weekend a group of BIS students studying IB Vietnamese Literature stepped outside their comfort zone and dared to discover more as they went on their literature expedition to Quy Nhon.
Year 12 IB Language and Literature students visited Mai Tam House of Hope in Thu Duc district, a home which supports adults and children living with HIV.
These first few weeks have been really exciting and busy times in the Curve: our new library and learning space at BIS HCMC, Secondary Campus. We have been welcoming students and teachers en masse since the first day of term all keen to discover and experiment with the Curve’s new areas and facilities.

As part of Nord Anglia Education’s collaboration with UNICEF, selected student ambassadors will visit New York from 6-13 July for the NAE–UNICEF Student Summit regarding the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
On Friday 15th June BIS HCMC Secondary hosted its first Sports Awards Ceremony. This was a night of celebration and joyful reflection, highlighting the success of the students, coaches and teams that represented BIS at home and abroad this academic year.
