Dear Parents,
Dear Parents,
Another successful week in Primary!
In this week's update, we are thrilled to share the outstanding success of the recent Big Sing event that took place on Tuesday.
This inaugural event, led by Flis Kirk, Primary Music Specialist, and supported by a team of dedicated teachers, created a truly magical musical experience during which our primary choir as well as students from BVIS and HIS treated the audience to a spectacular showcase of talent. It was heartwarming to see how the collective effort of performers and organisers alike illuminated the event, transforming it into a noteworthy celebration of unity through music.
On Thursday, the school opened its doors to prospective students and their families, creating an atmosphere buzzing with warmth and excitement. As families walked through the corridors, expertly led by our team of house captains, they were greeted by the vibrant energy of our learning community. Teachers and students eagerly shared insights into our academic programmes, extracurricular activities, and the overall spirit that defines our school. The event was not merely a showcase of our facilities; it was a glimpse into the heart of our educational philosophy. Families had the opportunity to engage with our Senior Leadership Team, explore classrooms, and witness firsthand the sense of camaraderie that defines our community. The shared conversations and shared smiles painted a picture of a school that values not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of each student.
Finally, the recent parent-teacher meetings regarding future residential trips in Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 were an insightful and collaborative session. The meetings were the perfect occasion to share an overview of the planned residential trips, showcasing the educational and personal growth opportunities these experiences aim to provide to our students. As a school, we truly believe in the importance of education outside the classroom, and we seized the opportunity to emphasise the enriching activities and learning outcomes tied to each destination.
Next week promises to be as busy, and we are looking forward to celebrating our teachers on Monday with the great feast organised by our Friends of BIS!
Have a lovely weekend,
Laurence Cabanne
Deputy Head of Primary
