Dear Parents,
What a great week it has been here at BIS Hanoi.
Our CCAs are in full flow, and our Options Evening for Years 9 and 11 is in preparation for both the IGCSE and the IB Diploma. The theme of this week has been Black History, and our students, particularly in Secondary, have been considering the importance of this within a wider global context.
International Festival preparations and rehearsals are well under way in readiness for tomorrow's event. We sincerely hope that all of you will come and spend a few hours with us, enjoying our student performances, eating or drinking from one of our vendors, or taking part in one or other of the student- or parent-led activities. This is an opportunity for both the school and wider community to come together to celebrate our international flavour.
Then we dive into next week, where, particularly in Primary, there are a range of global activities taking place during International Week. The finale of our celebrations will be next Friday morning, when the International Flag Parade takes place. Parents, you are invited to join us as we celebrate our unity in diversity on Friday, October 13 at 9:00 am.
Have a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing lots of you over the coming week, ahead of the holiday.
Half-Term Break: 13th–22nd October
School returns for all students on Monday, October 23rd.
Kind regards,
Richard Vaughan
Principal
