At The British International School Abu Dhabi, our students have actively participated in this programme through initiatives such as three of our BIS Abu Dhabi students -Tia, Renad and Turkan- attending the NAE UNICEF Summit in Houston, Texas, this summer, where they deepened their understanding of global challenges and developed skills as changemakers.
Our school’s commitment to social responsibility is further reinforced by our participation in major UNICEF-led events like World Children’s Day on 20th November, where Nord Anglia’s 80,000+ students come together to reflect on the value and potential of young people in shaping a better world.
Alan Cocker from BIS Abu Dhabi school said, “we’re incredibly proud of our students’ involvement in the UNICEF partnership. It’s been inspiring to see them develop a deeper sense of responsibility and empathy through their participation in global initiatives. From their engagement in World Children’s Day to their work in SDG workshops, they’ve embraced the opportunity to become advocates for positive change. We look forward to continuing this journey over the next three years, empowering our students to make a meaningful impact both locally and globally”.
We look forward to sharing more updates on the wonderful projects our students will undertake in collaboration with UNICEF! If you would like to learn more about our work with UNICEF, you can read Nord Angia Education’s news article
