Message from the Head of Primary
As I experience my first start of a new academic term here at BIS Abu Dhabi, I am also getting my first opportunity to write a message in the newsletter. I want to open by extending a warm welcome to all new and returning families as we embark on this exciting journey together.

Welcoming new staff and students to our community is always a joyful experience. The start of term is filled with a mix of nerves, anticipation, excitement, and these emotions have resonated with many of us. Beginning something new can present its fair share of challenges and reestablishing familiar routines and building new relationships can be a bit daunting. However, I am pleased to report that, after just one week, I can confirm those initial feelings of apprehension have transformed into a thing of the past.

Since the beginning of the term, I have had the pleasure of meeting many parents at our coffee mornings and parent information sessions and spending time with the students in all classes. It is evident that the children have fully immersed themselves in their learning and the curriculum is coming to life, thanks to the dedicated efforts of both our teachers and our students.

I am particularly proud to witness our students working collaboratively in their classes, demonstrating the core school values of honesty, kindness, and respect. This is a testament to the wonderful community spirit we have here at BIS Abu Dhabi.

Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement about the year to come. With your continued support, I have no doubt that our children will excel and make the most of the incredible opportunities that BIS Abu Dhabi has to offer.

This week, we were honoured to welcome special visitors from ADEK who engaged our children in a conversation about National Identity. They were truly impressed by the outstanding work our students have been doing, both in their lessons and throughout the school. Our students have been

actively involved in volunteering and conservation efforts, aligning with our values of global understanding and the promotion of the Arabic language, history, and heritage that we teach here at BIS Abu Dhabi.

I am delighted to share that BIS Abu Dhabi is the only international school to have received an "Outstanding" rating in both ADEK 'Irtiqaa' and National Identity Mark inspections, a testament to the dedication and commitment of our staff, students, and parents.

As we move forward into this academic year, please maintain an open line of communication with us. Your input and involvement are invaluable as we work together to provide your children with the best possible educational experience.

Let's continue building on our positive momentum and make this academic year remarkable for all students. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and wellbeing of your children.

Wishing you all a wonderful academic year ahead!
