Seeking work placements for students in Year 10

In previous years, students have provided overwhelmingly positive feedback about their experience, which has given them insight into various careers and helped them develop important communication, self-confidence, and organisational skills. We are reaching out to our parent community to ask for your help in offering placements to our Year 10 students. Our students are hardworking, well-behaved, courteous, and understand that they represent our school during their placements. 
 
These placements offer a chance for students to experience life outside of a school environment, raise awareness of various career options, and develop important skills. As a business partner, these placements offer you an opportunity to develop coaching skills of your staff, develop recruitment channels and demonstrate your company’s commitment to investing in the future of the local community. 
 
All participating companies will receive full support from our school, both in planning the work experience programme and throughout the course of the week. Students will not receive a salary and will need to arrange their own insurance. While we are aware that company hours may vary, we expect that students will work the same hours as employees.
 
Please refer to the attached BIS Abu Dhabi work experience guide for additional information and itinerary suggestions. If your company can provide one or more work placements for the above-mentioned period, please complete this short form by 18th May so we have the necessary details to follow up.
