‘Sshhhh – it’s a secret!’ or it was!
Over the past couple of weeks, I have had a feeling of terrific excitement and anticipation. It all started with a call asking if her Excellency Sara Mussallam, the Minister of Early Years Education, could visit our school because of the great things she has been hearing.

This place.
There is a song currently being played on the radio called ‘This Place’ by a young man from Liverpool called Jamie Webster. It’s a modern rendition of an old folk tradition in which singers tell us about their hometown and how much it means to them. Our students are making waves as they embark on an exciting journey to explore the incredible properties of water!
As I experience my first start of a new academic term here at BIS Abu Dhabi, I am also getting my first opportunity to write a message in the newsletter. I want to open by extending a warm welcome to all new and returning families as we embark on this exciting journey together.
