Just before the half-term break, a select number of promising mathematicians from Years 9 - 11 entered the UK Mathematical Trusts’ Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. This highly-regarded Trust challenges students’ problem-solving abilities, working outside of traditional curriculum topics.

On Thursday, 4th February, students had an amazing Virtual International Day. We had a wonderful day celebrating the diversity of our school community and its large number of different nationalities.
Our recent International Day celebrated the vast diversity we are fortunate to have at BIS Abu Dhabi, with students making up over 90 nationalities. Year 11 students Taabeer and Dania felt it was important for everyone in the community to always feel included, and as such have launched a new initiative called The Inclusivity Club.

This Tuesday, 9th February marks Safer Internet Day, the theme of which is "Together for a better Internet". As part of our initiative to create a safer Internet and raise awareness of Safer Internet Day, we are launching a ‘Think Before You Post” poster competition.
This week marks the beginning of Children’s Mental Health Week 2021, an initiative which was launched in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of young people’s mental health.
