The British International School Abu Dhabi opened its doors in 2009. Today, our thriving international community is home to over 1,800 students from more than 90 countries.
From day one, our teachers, students and parents have strived for excellence in everything we do. Our class of 2013 was the first to follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and our students have raised the bar ever since. In 2022, our IBDP class achieved an average point score of 34 – 7% above the global average – with two students getting a perfect score of 45 out of 45.
In 2020, we won the Community Award at the International School Awards for our work to sustainably redesign a local communal space. We repeated the feat in 2021, becoming the only school in the world to win an award two years running. This time, we won the Student Pathways to Continued and Higher Education Award for the support we gave our senior school students during lockdown.
Throughout our history The British International School Abu Dhabi has provided a holistic education that teaches our students the breadth of skills they need to succeed – whatever they choose to be or do in the future.
