Our secondary curriculum
Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
English National Curriculum
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 at our high school in Slovakia follow the English National Curriculum, which is adapted to meet the needs of our diverse international school community. Slovak and Korean nationals follow tailored language programmes, and we encourage all our Key Stage 3 students to take French, German or Spanish courses.
The world-class teachers at our international Secondary school in Bratislava deliver engaging lessons in English, maths, science, geography, history, ICT, PE, art and design, drama, dance and Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE). And our students’ talents are nurtured at a wide range of extra-curricular clubs.
Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11)
Cambridge IGCSE
In Years 10 and 11, the students at our international Secondary school in Slovakia study for their IGCSEs.
Key Stage 4 is the ideal time to personalise your child’s education based on their academic interests and ambitions. Our students take between seven and 11 subjects, including mandatory English, maths and science, and choose from optional programmes in music, art, PE, and more.
After two years of hard work, our students sit their exams in May or June. Our IGCSE courses are globally recognised, which means they’re accepted by schools and universities around the world.
Once a student has passed their IGCSE exams, they’re accepted onto our IBDP.
