Fifteen middle school students spent December 5 at ExxonMobil’s Houston campus presenting to and speaking with STEAM visionaries and local business leaders.
On Saturday, October 29th, The Village School’s cross country team competed in the TAPPS State Championship Meet in Waco, TX. This meet was the culmination of a three month season, packed with eight Saturday meets, and 5:30am daily practices that were both on and off campus. Varsity runners logged over 50 miles per week in an effort to set new personal records (PR’s) and better the team. After a top 3 District Championship finish, the boys team was peaking at the right time heading into the State Championship meet.
A sophomore at The Village School, Sharan S., completed 215 hours this summer working with Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIE).
Congratulations to our students for their participation in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 23 Auditions - one of the most competitive Regions in the state and perhaps in the country, with students coming from public and private schools from HISD, Katy ISD and Alief ISD.
Jet Tila, American celebrity chef and LA restaurateur visited Village today and gave an amazing cooking demonstration for our students. Chef Tila is currently the chef of The Charleston and Pakpao Thai and has appeared on Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef America, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
ACE registration for the fall school year is now open! If you are a new family to the school, Our After Class Enrichment (ACE) program is geared for students and parents who desire more activity outside normal school hours. From athletic endeavors to academic achievements, the ACE Program provides your child with numerous outlets to express their energy, creativity, and natural gifts to become innovators and creative thinkers.
