The Village School's Jada Malone (10th grade) was recently named ALL-VYPE Private School Women's Basketball Player of the Year. She also earned District MVP and 1st Team All-State for a Lady Vikings basketball team that finished with a school record 39 wins and runner-up in the TAPPS 6A state championship game. She was the team leader in points, rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage, setting numerous school records along the way.
On Saturday, February 23rd, The Village School's varsity girls basketball team competed in the TAPPS 6A Regional Championship against Antonian High School from San Antonio. The Lady Vikings won 72-60, securing a trip to the State Final Four for the first time in program history.
On Sunday, January 20th, 13 Village Vikings will give their all in Houston’s annual marathon. These 9 students and 4 teachers are proud to collect donations on behalf of The Arbor School, an intensive educational program for any child with developmental delays, through the Run for a Reason charity program.
The VESPYS athletic banquet has become a unique tradition at The Village School. This event is hosted by our athletic department each May and it is a fun way to celebrate all of the team and individual accomplishments and recognitions that we achieved this year.
Freshman, Jada M. was selected to attend the U17 USA Basketball Team Trials and will compete against 115 players nationwide for a spot on the U17 USA Basketball National Tea
The Vikings Spirit Dance Team participated in their first competition at the Houston regional groove competition March 23- 25 against 500 other routines. Viking Spirit Dancers competed in the senior large group novice level, and received a High Gold, 1st place award in the large group senior "pom" division, and a 1st place overall in the senior large group division.

PCA's Double-Goal Coach Award is given to youth and high school sports coaches from throughout the U.S. who embody the ideals of the Double-Goal Coach, striving to win, while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.
Village Basketball player Nestor D. was named VYPE Private School Boys Hooper of the Year for his impressive performance in his senior season. Nestor was elected by popular poll and chosen over numerous other contenders.
On Saturday, October 29th, The Village School’s cross country team competed in the TAPPS State Championship Meet in Waco, TX. This meet was the culmination of a three month season, packed with eight Saturday meets, and 5:30am daily practices that were both on and off campus. Varsity runners logged over 50 miles per week in an effort to set new personal records (PR’s) and better the team. After a top 3 District Championship finish, the boys team was peaking at the right time heading into the State Championship meet.
