Animal lovers and welfare advocates of all ages and backgrounds gathered at Resurrection MCC in the Heights for the first-ever Wild Tunes concert – “Melodies of Gratitude” to raise money and awareness for shelter animals at Houston Pets Alive! (HPA!).
Dana is a Viking with a very diverse set of interests. She is a two-sport varsity athlete, has a passion for art and is a bright IB Diploma candidate, planning to pursue Neuroscience in the future. Most rewarding of all her pursuits though is a non-profit she started called Crochet Children’s Fund. Through her non-profit, Dana sells stuffed animals she crochets and donates the proceeds to local children’s hospitals.
At Village, students pursue excellence in all they do, even extending into their extracurriculars and hobbies. For 8th grader Charlie, his combined artistry and love for baking has him creating masterpieces almost too exquisite to eat! Many different Village Vikings have gotten to enjoy his delicious creations and he’s always glad for the chance to share. We got to connect with this ambitious and eloquent baker, and hear all about his unique gift turned small business.
The Village School’s 2018 yearbook, "The Viking: Wait, What", has been recognized for excellence and featured in the 2019 Jostens Look Book, celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage.
Six Village School middle and high school students placed in the Texas Private School Music Educators Association Instrumental State Solo & Ensemble Competition at the Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas May 26.
Over 100 students from private schools from the South Texas Region met on April 14th at St. Thomas Catholic High School.
Village had 36 students in 38 solo and 1 ensemble string and piano entries. 28 Village students received high honors. Seven solo student entries performed a level one piece (the highest classification of the UIL Prescribed Music List) and received a superior rating, making them eligible to advance to the State Round of the contest.
The middle school One Act Play team competed at the PSIA One Act Play competition at Foster High School February 23 with their performance of The Curious Savage. The performance placed second in the competition and multiple cast members won individual awards.
The Village School participated in the 2017 Texas Private School Music Educators Association Instrumental State Solo & Ensemble Competition at the Fort Worth Country Day School recently.

The Village School is proud to announce that it had 13 high school students participate in the TPSMEA All State Clinic and Concert. Rohith K earned 1st chair and was selected TPSMEA All State Concertmaster.
