SAFEGUARDING IN OUR SCHOOLS

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students is our most important priority. Our comprehensive organisational Safeguarding Policy and procedures set out the principles, processes and expectations that all schools and colleagues must follow to keep students safe.

OUR SAFEGUARDING POLICY

We believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and that everyone at Nord Anglia Education has a role to play. Our dedicated Safeguarding Team and Regional Safeguarding Directors lead our work, providing schools with support and guidance to ensure the highest standards.

We have a robust governance structure in place, which ensures both our schools and organisation are accountable for safeguarding. We also act on and monitor the procedures laid out in our all-encompassing Safeguarding Policy. This includes meeting and exceeding the requirements of local and international regulators, and effectively monitoring our schools to ensure they meet the commitments made in our Policy.

Creating environments where the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is promoted, fostering an open and aware safeguarding culture in line with best practice and relevant legislation.
Ensuring that children, young people and their families are informed, engaged and empowered to participate in decisions that affect them.
Supporting our colleagues to understand the Safeguarding Policy. We ensure they are equipped with skills and knowledge, through training, to provide children with safe environments, understand responsibilities and boundaries of their roles, and respond to and report any safeguarding concerns.
Ensuring all prospective employees undergo rigorous selection processes, including background checks, to identify suitable personnel.
