INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Village School has established partnerships to provide internship opportunities for our students. Our partnerships span a wide range of university, industry, and public sector entities to prepare our students as responsible, successful, 21st century global citizens.

Village’s innovative internship program provides both day and residential students with hands-on opportunities throughout the school year for career exploration and preparation. Village has developed unique partnerships with industry-leading companies like Cisco, Houston Methodist Hospital, and Pimcore that help students discover careers in different industries.

With a multi-faceted approach, we encourage students to explore and experience different career paths, even if they are unsure of what field they want to pursue. This includes internship opportunities, job shadowing, hands-on experiences, our school curriculum, and mentorship opportunities. Village’s internship program continues to expand and incorporate a range of exclusive opportunities for students at local university, industry, and public sector entities.

Our internship program is available to rising 9th through 12th graders, with priority given to rising 11th and 12th graders. Students serving as interns are given meaningful projects by our partners; they are assigned responsibilities, deadlines, and expectations, similar to serving as a full-time employee.
