Teaching found me over twenty years ago in the galleries of the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo, New York where I was born. I embrace the challenge of bringing art to life within the classroom and together with my students try to understand the purpose of art, why people create and what it means to be creative. Beyond my sixteen years of teaching art (ages 3 to 14) in schools in the United States, Vietnam, and Taiwan, I have continued to practice my own art, work as a museum educator, arts administrator, and activist for my ancestral homeland of Ukraine.
Travel is an important aspect of my life and I love to capture special moments through the lens of my camera. Thrifting for treasures is a passion of mine, as well as, latin dancing. I am thrilled to join NISC and cannot wait to create and learn with my students!
