Curriculum Leader Mathematics
Michael Camp

"After 7 years working in the world of cartography, I decided to change careers and become a teacher. I spent 11 years teaching a variety of mathematics courses in the UK, including GCSE, A level, IB Diploma and a variety of vocational courses, including for a nuclear decommissioning degree course. After my time in the UK, I spent another 12 years teaching in China where I helped set up an IB Diploma program at a Chinese high school before becoming head of mathematics at Wellington College Shanghai. I am now excited to be teaching in Northbridge and am eager to spread the message that mathematics is for everyone. In my spare time I play chess and used to play regularly in a Shanghai chess league.
