She believes that education is not a job - it is a vocation. She is an experienced teacher, having taught internationally for over 20 years. She moved to Brunei, Southeast Asia in 2004. After working for the Council of British Teachers, teaching ESL and Literature, she joined the International School, where she taught IGCSE, A-Levels and IB English Language and Literature. She was extensively involved in the pastoral care of the students in her role as Wellbeing Coordinator and Pastoral Head and firmly believes in the Science of Wellbeing, which complements a student-centred approach. In 2021, she moved to HCMC, Vietnam, where she taught DP English Language and Literature at the Nord Anglia British International School. Thereafter, she joined the International School of Hout Bay, Cape Town, where she was EE Coordinator. Kim is passionate about Literature, and has a keen interest in politics, philosophy, and pedagogy. She enjoys cooking, listening to music, walks in nature and spending time with her family.
