I am an experienced and enthusiastic primary teacher, having taught in international schools in the Netherlands, Colombia, Italy and Qatar. I love teaching all subjects but my favourites are science and mathematics. I have taught all grades of primary and also have experience of leading mathematics, Lego education, robotics and STEM programs and clubs. My teaching philosophy is that all children should have the chance to grow and succeed at school whilst feeling safe and valued. I achieve this through a mixture of class bonding activities, individualised stretching but attainable targets, transferable skills building and hard working balanced with having lots of fun in the classroom! I was born in Manchester and hold both UK and New Zealand citizenship.
When not teaching, I enjoy family time, travelling, cycling, playing strategy games and supporting Manchester City FC. I am very excited to be joining the NISC learning community and getting to know my new home and culture better.
