I have been an educator for 30 years, having worked in Australia for 20 years and now internationally for 12 years in China and Cambodia. I have held various roles in education, as homeroom, music, learning support teacher, reading intervention teacher, grade level coordinator, literacy leader, & now as Assistant Primary Principal/PYP Coordinator. My curiosity drives me to read, listen to podcasts, write and to travel as much as possible. My creative side is manifested in taking photos, documenting life, gardening and craft. Curiosity and creativity fuel my passion for inquiry, & creating learning environments that provoke thinking and story telling. As a mother of three, time spent with children and my partner give me joy most when we are together, but I find joy daily in working with children. I'm an insatiable life-long learner. You can often find me facilitating workshops inside and outside of school as I love learning alongside of others. I am an advocate for working collaboratively & developing relationships - connection and belonging are two of my strongest values. I believe that empowering individuals, valuing strengths and encouraging children to achieve their potential are core to my our role at Northbridge.
