Northbridge International School continues to grow and flourish as a proud continuum IB world school

The Evaluation covers 4 key components and takes place every 5 years for all IB schools across the globe.

1. A Self-Study of our Programmes - Back in February 2021 all staff began a series of collaborative meetings. Over time parents and students contributed to the reflective process also, so that we had input from our whole community. This reflective study was documented and submitted to the IB.
2. A review of our curriculum related documents – samples of our documentation were submitted to the IB.
3. Our school visit by the team of IB representatives involved meetings with staff, parents and students, and visits to classrooms to experience teaching and learning in action.
4. An Evaluation report – In the coming weeks we will receive a feedback report from the IB which will guide us on continuing our fabulous work here at NISC.

The aim of the 5-year evaluation is for the IB to ensure that the IB standards and practices are being maintained and developed. It is a timely chance to identify major achievements and next steps for even further development. It results in a clear plan for taking “next steps” as an ambitious IB School.

At the end of the 3-day visit we received the below inspiring and comforting comments from the visiting team. These words sparked a fabulous sense of honour and pride amongst those in the school's auditorium at the time and were a reminder of what a wonderful school community we have here at NISC.

Connections to the Nord Anglia Education group and their commitment to fostering “caring hearts and ambitious minds,” alongside intentional commitment to the IB philosophy ensures learners and members of the learning community appreciate and value their identity whilst exploring global connections and perspectives. A sense of team and collaboration permeates all interactions within and between stakeholders. Learners are supported to become curious and resilient through access to challenging and diverse programmes which capitalise on the spacious green campus resources and the strategic addition of diverse programmes facilitated by the interests, passions, and expertise of staff. With intentional planning, leaders, empowered by the governing body, have built a culture of trust within and between the school and the community. The well-being of learners and teachers has been at the forefront of development with considered acknowledgement of cultural, linguistic, and age-appropriate strategies to enhance welfare consistently explored and adopted.”

Thank you to all community members who were involved in either the process and/or the visit meetings. Also, to all NISC community members Ms Angela, Mr Kohulan and I are looking forward to leading our IB Programmes into their next stage of continued success for the benefit of all students.
