Recently, our secondary production, Clue: High School Edition, had its run from May 20-21 in The Stage (Primary Cafeteria). Needless to say, our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of performing in front of a live audience and bringing the story to life, after experiencing virtual performances since the start of 2020.
Clue is a mystery that follows six guests as they are invited to Boddy Manor. Once their host arrives, and subsequently dies, it’s up to them to figure out who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon.
The secondary production is a collaborative performance, made up of Grade 10 students from all the arts disciplines - drama, dance, music, and visual arts. As it’s a part of the curriculum, all students participate in a variety of roles - musicians, choreographers, actors, designers, directors and more. This year, we also had Grade 10 students create our promotional material in their Design classes (including a spooky trailer video featured on our school Facebook page).
The Grade 10 Drama students spent an immense amount of time both in and outside of class to bring this production to life. Many rehearsals were called after school, during the start of Khmer New Year, and some weekends to ensure that the show was the best that it could be.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first-ever live Secondary production. From cast and crew, both students and adults, we appreciate your support for the arts!
As students approach their final few months, the pressure to perform well intensifies. The IB Diploma Programme is known for its rigorous curriculum and high standards, making effective exam revision crucial for success. Here’s why exam revision and the upcoming mock exams are particularly important for Grade 12 students.
In a rapidly evolving world, where artificial intelligence, automation, and environmental challenges reshape our societies, the value of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education has never been greater. At Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC), we believe that fostering creativity and innovation is at the heart of preparing students for the future.
The transition into Grade 11 is more than a step up academically; it is a transformative phase where students begin to develop life skills essential for their future.
The move from primary to secondary school is a big deal—not just for students, but for parents too. The transition isn’t something that happens overnight or in a single day. It’s a journey that stretches across the whole year, and it's one that should be taken very seriously. It's true that change can feel daunting, but when a transition programme is executed well and with the right support, this can be one of the most exciting and transformative stages in children's education.
