Due to the current pandemic, almost every conference platform has been transformed into a virtual format. Northbridge International School Cambodia has taken an important decision in organizing an online NISC MUN 2021. Proudly speaking, we were the first and only school in Cambodia conducting the conference virtually and internationally.
Five participating schools, two of which were schools overseas, included Lincoln School in Costa Rica and Mont Kiara International School in Kuala Lumpur. We were once again proud to include the participation of Logos International School and CIA FIRST International School, representing schools in Cambodia.
The conference was held between Feb 19-21, 2021. Though the Feb-20th-Covid-19 incident occurred in Phnom Penh, it did not impede us from proceeding with our conference because we had foreseen and had well prepared for a scenario like this. Our delegates were able to discuss, debate and exchange ideas on “Fostering Sustainable Peace” which was this year's main theme.
Last but definitely not least, we tried our best to provide our MUN directors, Chairs, Deputy Chairs, delegates and all stakeholders similar experiences that they would get at an in-person conference. They were able to bring with them the virtual practice and knowledge in pertinence to the theme, and most importantly they were able to socialize virtually, which rarely happens these days when a new Covid-19 outbreak is present.
As we approach a key milestone in the academic journey of our Grade 10 students, I am pleased to share the significant strides we have made in streamlining the transition process to Grade 11 and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).
As the Personal Project Coordinator, one of the most rewarding aspects of my role is observing how the Personal Project allows students to develop essential skills that will benefit them long after they leave school.
With the UK university application deadline now behind us, there’s a palpable sense of excitement—along with a sense of relief on my part! Thirty of our students successfully submitted their applications, each able to choose five different universities on the UCAS application.
As students approach their final few months, the pressure to perform well intensifies. The IB Diploma Programme is known for its rigorous curriculum and high standards, making effective exam revision crucial for success. Here’s why exam revision and the upcoming mock exams are particularly important for Grade 12 students.
