Three quarters down and only one to go as our Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 12’s are on the homestretch of an incredible two year journey. As I look back on the semester that has been, I can only be reminded of the infinite possibilities they have in front of them.

So in saying that lets look back and reflect as good IB learners on what we have done this year and where we are going.

1st Semester - A New Year a New Challenge

On the 12th of August 2019, some 120 days ago, our Grade 12 students walked through the front gates of Northbridge, knowing this was the final year of their IB Diploma.

Some things had changed: Mr Piotr and Mr Ben had moved on and a new DP pastoral team of Ms Frances, Mr Chris and Mr Callum sood ready to welcome them. I can honestly say I'm sure we were all far more nervous than they were.

1st Semester - The Workload has Grown

IA’s, EE’s and CAS - it sounds like a bad vitamin combination, but these are just some of the things our Grade 12’s are battling with as well as being classroom learners, sports people, musicians, actors, humanitarians and more.

They are immensely busy, some might say the busiest they will ever be in their life, but wow do they persevere! They push through the stress, the anxiety, the pain, the disappointment and they meet their goals fully and front on.

I am immensely proud of the work you have put in so far this semester and know the great foundations you have laid for yourselves will pay dividends next semester.

The Future, The Last Hurdles, The Time to Shine

As I thought about what to write to round out this blog, I realised that sometimes saying very little is the best so I will leave you all with three simple thoughts:

  1. Finish your Extended Essay, do a little bit each day you’ll be finished before you know it. Don’t leave it to build up.

  2. TAKE A BREAK! Spend some time doing nothing! Relaxing! Enjoying some time away from working.

Have an amazing holidays and a Merry Christmas to those of you that celebrate it. Enjoy time with family and friends, travel safe and come back to Northbridge with the vigour and zeal of a new year and a final semester.
