This past weekend the Northbridge International School Cambodia Junior Football teams went to Hanoi to compete in the VinSchool Times City ASAC tournament. The boys and girls teams competed against Concordia, VinSchool, Wells and ISHCMC.

Junior Girls

The Junior Girls Football Team had a strong start to the tournament playing controlled and confident football.

As the Nagas consisted of only Grade 6 and 7 players, the girls were generally playing against more experienced teams. However, the girls did not back down and were able to tie their first two games against Concordia and Wells, both 1-1.

The girls won their pool play game against Vin School not conceding any goals but then were defeated by ISHCMC in their final pool play game.

The girls were ranked 2nd overall and played another very strong game in their semi-final versus Vinschool to secure their spot in the finals.

Although the girls played well in the finals they were unable to defeat ISHCMC and placed 2nd at ASAC.

The girls showed amazing determination this season and consistently worked hard to improve. The All -Tournament Team players for the Junior Girls were Evan Ho and Angelina Ly.
