The MRISA Junior Football Tournament was held at United Nations International School Hanoi from 16-18 March 2018.
After both our junior boys and girls teams won the ISSAPP local finals, hopes were high for a strong performance at MRISA.
In the first day of competition the boys team won two games 6-0 and 4-1, starting the day off strong. The boys lost their last game of the day 7-3 pushing them to the top four of the tournament.

The girls played well during the first day, but lost their first two matches in close games which were well played, but ended the day positively with a 2-0 win.
On day two the boys played against some of the best teams in the tournament, narrowly missing out on a third place medal in a 1-0 loss in their final, ending in fourth place. The girls brought more energy into the second day ending in seventh place winning their last game of the tournament 2-0.

The other week I was in Bangkok at the ASAC Basketball Tournament that is open for Grade 6 – 8 students from 9 competing schools across South East Asia. It gave me some time to reflect on the benefits and opportunities that our Northbridge students can access that will develop them holistically and physically.
Here at Northbridge International School Cambodia, we have the privilege of having an amazing 25 meter undercover swimming pool on campus. The school swim program is embedded in our curriculum from EL2 to Grade 10.
