Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s leading premium international schools organisation, today announced its A-level results for the 2020/21 academic year.

Nord Anglia students achieved 65.4% of grades at A*-A this year, along with 83.7% at A*-B. These results are well above last year’s A*-A grade average of 45.4% and significantly higher than the UK average.

A total of 611 Nord Anglia Education students sat the exam this year, achieving a group-wide pass rate of 99.4% at A*-E grades, while seven NAE schools achieved a perfect 100% pass rate.

Oxford International College saw its students achieve an impressive 95% of grades at A*-A, 99% at A*-B, and a pass rate of 100%. The school ranked as the UK’s top-performing sixth form college in both 2019 and 2020.

Equally as impressive were the British School of Nanjing in China, which had 92% of grades at A*-A and a 100% pass rate, and the British School of Kuala Lumpur in Southeast Asia, which had 85.8% of grades at A*-A, 92.1% A*-B grades, and a 100% pass rate.

Elise Ecoff, Group Education Director, Nord Anglia Education, said: “Following our best-ever results for the IB Diploma Programme, we couldn’t be prouder of our students’ A-level results this year. In a very challenging year around the world, our students have once again proven themselves to be resilient and aspirational learners and they are now looking forward to studying at the world’s top universities.”

Other Nord Anglia schools in Europe achieved impressive results.

  • Oxford Sixth Form had 55.2% of grades at A*-A, 79.1% at A*-B, and a 99.4% pass rate, with 65 students taking the exam.
  • At d’Overbroeck’s, 191 students sat the exam, achieving 67.3% A*-A grades, 88% A*-B grades and a 100% pass rate.
  • The International School of Moscow achieved 49% of A*-A grades, 79% A*-B grades, and a 98% pass rate.

In Southeast Asia and the Middle East, A-level students excelled:

  • British Vietnamese International School HCMC had 50% A*-A grades, 70% A*-B grades, and a 100% pass rate.
  • British Vietnamese International School Hanoi had 45% A*-A grades, 67* A*-B grades, and a 97% pass rate
  • The British School of Tashkent had 53% A*-A grades,71% A*-B grades, and a 96% pass rate.
  • Nord Anglia International School Al Khor had 40% A*-A grades, 93% A*-B, and a 100% pass rate.
  • The British School of Kuwait achieved 55% A*-A grades, 80% A*-B, and a 100% pass rate.

In Nord Anglia’s schools in China:

  • At the British School of Guangzhou, 55% of grades were A*-A, 76% of grades were A*-B, and students had a 99% pass rate.
