2018 Parent Survey shows strengths across the board Each year, Nord Anglia Education conducts a Parent Satisfaction Survey to help us improve our understanding of how we are performing. By benchmarking key areas, our survey tells us what our schools are doing well and where we can improve in the future. This helps Nord Anglia Education schools continue to provide the best possible educational experience for our 50,000 plus students. This year’s survey included responses and comments from almost 14,000 parents in 22 different languages. We are proud of these results, as they represent the collective hard work and dedication of everyone at our schools. To give you a sense of how we’re performing, read on for a few key highlights.

In terms of academics, the survey emphasised great results across our group. 93% of our parents say their school provides a stimulating learning environment for their child, while 90% of parents say their child receives a high-quality education from their school. Also, 91% of parents say their child has good relationships with their teachers, which is essential to learning. Having high-quality teachers remains the #1 most important factor for parents when choosing a school. All Nord Anglia teachers enjoy extensive professional development opportunities, including a broad range of courses from Nord Anglia University, which directly translates to our students benefiting from cutting edge pedagogy.
Our Nord Anglia schools are also continuing to benefit our students’ emotional and social development in fantastic ways. 95% of parents say their child feels safe at school, and 94% say their child is happy at school. Similarly, 91% say their child is developing social skills at school, while 90% say their child is developing independence.
Advocacy of Nord Anglia Education also remains a strength. Our survey shows 9 out of 10 parents would continue to recommend their school to others. Also, 93% say their school informs them through regular updates, which is an important way for them to stay engaged with all of the exciting events taking place during the year. Here at Nord Anglia Education, we also take our admissions process seriously when welcoming new families to our schools.
NAE strives to provide a warm and welcoming experience with 98% of new joining parents saying their first contact with the school was positive and welcoming, while 94% say the entry and admissions process was well organised.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who shared their valuable feedback. These results, along with continuous guidance and review with Nord Anglia’s Education team, enable us to create a thorough improvement and development plan for our schools. Feedback from our parents is priceless as we continue to enhance teaching and learning at our school for every student. Given our focus on ambitious, transformational education, we’re committed to improving our performance across the board as we move ahead in the future.
