Last week, we celebrated the opening of our new school, the British International School of Chicago, South Loop.
Following the ground breaking for the greenfield school in March 2014, the British International School of Chicago's new 1,100 seat South Loop campus opened for its inaugural school year on Monday, August 31, 2015.
Part of Nord Anglia Education's global family of 42 schools, the British International School of Chicago offers personalized, international education to students between the ages of 3 and 18 years old. The South Loop campus serves students from preschool through high school, complementing the British International School of Chicago's existing Lincoln Parkcampus, which has recently been refurbished for students from preschool through Grade 5.
Located on South Wells Street, the new campus features a 9,000-square-foot gymnasium, technology classrooms with 3D printers, a state-of-the-art science wing, two libraries, a music recording studio and sound-proof practice rooms, a restaurant-style cafeteria, a community rooftop garden, and an on-site sports field with artificial turf.
