On 27th March, students at the British School of Beijing, Shunyi became BBC reporters for the day as part of the BBC School Report project.

The BBC School Report is an innovative innovative project which gives 11-16 year-old students the chance to make their own headlines, by reporting the stories that matter to them to a real audience. The project culminates in the School Report News Day - the live broadcast of the students stories online, and featured on a wide range of BBC TV and radio programmes .

This year, the British School of Beijing, Shunyi became the first British international school in the world to be accepted into the programme. A team of 14 students worked with teachers Mrs Laure Cundall and Mr Sean Hickman to learn about journalism and recreate a newsroom in the school

News Day began for the students at 8.30am. They produced news articles on school and life in Beijing, working hard to meet their 2pm deadline and successfully becoming the first school to file their report with the BBC. Alex, a Year 7 student, told that BBC that they had a great day, and that after a few technical problems they achieved everything they wanted to.

Congratulations to the team on this fantastic achievement!
