We are delighted to welcome Brian Cooklin as the founding principal at the Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong, joining us in January 2014. The appointment of Mr Cooklin to our family of premium international schools demonstrates our commitment to the highest levels of educational quality for our students.

Mr Cooklin is currently the Principal of Edron Academy, the leading British international school in Mexico. Prior to joining Edron, he led Stonelaw High School in the UK, where he built a culture of academic excellence at the school as well as creating a strong sense of community pride amongst his students and teaching staff.

As a former president of the Head Teachers’ Association of Scotland and the inaugural president of School Leavers Scotland, Mr Cooklin has had extensive involvement in educational developments at all levels. Internationally, he was a council member for the International Confederation of Principals and has been an active participant at the Latin American Heads’ Conferences and International Baccalaureate conferences. He has also taken a leading role in a range of teacher training and mentoring programmes at a local and international level.

Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong will open in September 2014. The new school will provide quality education for 5-12 year olds, combining the English National Curriculum with teaching that promotes a truly global outlook.
