Last week, our Principal, Liam Cullinan, received a special invitation to attend an inspiring lecture by Global Education Advisor, Prof Dr Ger Graus OBE, on "Reimagining Early Childhood Education". Hosted at Majlis Mohamed bin Zayed, this event is part of an annual series featuring expert speakers discussing a variety of trending topics.
The lecture, held at the Majlis Venue - Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and broadcast on Al Emarat TV, explored innovative approaches to early childhood learning. You can catch the full event on the Abu Dhabi Media Office YouTube channel.
Mr Cullinan was honoured to be invited as a contributor to the event's introductory video, showcasing NAS Abu Dhabi’s leadership in education and the importance of play in Early Years.
Key attendees included HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HE Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi (UAE Minister of Education), HE Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili (Abu Dhabi Executive Council Member and Chairman of the Department of Community Development), and HE Awaidha Murshed Al Marar (Abu Dhabi Executive Council Member and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy).
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to “reimagine education in Abu Dhabi”!
The school primary years are pivotal in shaping a child’s academic, social, and personal development. These formative years lay the foundation for lifelong learning, as children develop key skills like problem-solving, literacy, and numeracy while building confidence in how they interact with the world around them.
This week’s Winter Concerts at NAS Abu Dhabi have been a vibrant celebration of music, creativity, and community. From our youngest performers in EYFS to the skilled musicians in Secondary, every moment reflected the energy, talent, and commitment of our students, and the importance of an education that values the creative and performing arts.
