WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT ABU DHABI?

Abu Dhabi means a lot to me – it’s a second home. I have been living in Abu Dhabi since 1995. I love its diversity, safety and security.

WHAT EXCITES YOU THE MOST ABOUT JOINING NAS ABU DHABI?

One of the best sources of knowledge is through interaction. So interacting in an environment embracing a new era of education provided by a global school such as Nord Anglia is undoubtedly a source of pride, honour and excitement.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I look forward to welcoming pupils and meeting my wider Nord Anglia community – parents and colleagues.

I admire the speed of advances in technology. Within a relatively short period of time, we’ve seen amazing discoveries and new technologies that’s made the world feel like a very small village indeed.

ABOUT ALIA HAMDAN, ARABIC TEACHER.

With a diverse range of experience spanning more than 20 years in the United Arab Emirates, Alia’s a passionate educator who enjoys seeing the reflections of her efforts in students' continuous improvement, growth and showing their very best.

She holds a bachelor degree with an Arabic language major, and Management minor from the University of Jordan, and she’s an ADEK licensed teacher in education and subject matter.

Within teaching specifically, online educational platforms that support every child in their learning journey, and the exploring the best ways to share knowledge light her up. She also specialises in child protection and connected technology.
