CELEBRATING CHINESE LEARNING AND COLLABORATIONS

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to share the incredible learning experiences and collaborations that have been taking place during our Chinese lessons these past few weeks. Our children have been immersed in a world of language, culture, and cross-campus connections, and we are excited to celebrate their achievements.

Our Nursery children have been busy recording themselves performing for our Cross-School Singing Competition. It has been a delight to see their enthusiasm and talent as they showcase their singing skills to our sister schools in Guangzhou and Beijing. We can't wait to share some of these wonderful performances and announce the winners.

Our Reception children have also been engaging in cross campus activities, taking part in "Live" online lessons with our schools in Guangzhou and Beijing. These interactive sessions have allowed our children to share their Chinese learning and teach each other, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and cultural understanding. The energy and engagement displayed by our children has been truly inspiring.

Furthermore, our Year 1 children have been immersed in the creative process of composing and writing their very own postcards to send to our sister schools. This exchange is eagerly anticipated and will serve as a wonderful opportunity for our children to connect with their peers across the region and deepen their appreciation for Chinese learning.

Finally, our Reception children took part in their annual performance of "Snow White" at the Sai Kung Community Centre, for the elderly, showcasing their theatrical talents and bringing the classic fairy tale to life. It was a truly memorable experience for both the children and the audience.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who have volunteered and supported the children over the past couple of months. Your involvement has been instrumental in ensuring the success of these collaborative activities.

Looking ahead, we hope to see many of you at our special International Day Parade on Friday, June 7th. This vibrant celebration will be a testament to the diversity and cultural richness within our school community. Additionally, we would like to remind you about our upcoming Induction sessions for the new classes at Sai Kung for the next academic year, that will take place next week, as well as our End of Year Celebrations, on Monday, 17th June, and Wednesday, 19th June.

We are incredibly proud of the remarkable learning and collaborations that have taken place during our Chinese lessons. The high levels of engagement, enjoyment, and progress demonstrated by our children are a testament to their dedication and the exceptional efforts and care of Lu Laoshi.

We look forward to continuing to provide our children with enriching experiences that nurture their language skills, cultural awareness, and global mindset.

Yours sincerely,

Ruth Hanson
