2025-26 School Term Dates
Dear Parents,
End of the term, but what’s next...
As our first term draws closer to an end, and indeed my first term here at Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong, there is sure to be much personal and professional reflection ahead.
The end of term is a timely reminder to reflect on the growth and achievements of our children and gratitude plays a vital role in fostering a positive mindset, helping us all to recognise their progress and appreciate the small but meaningful steps they take every day.
Whether it’s improving their reading skills, mastering a new concept in mathematics, or showing kindness to their classmates, every achievement, big or small, contributes to their personal growth.
Encouraging your child to acknowledge these “marginal gains” helps them build resilience and a sense of accomplishment. Taking time to reflect on this over the break, with conversations at dinner or during your travel is a great way to help children piece together the progress they have made this term.
A vital part of our school’s drive to support children’s growth focuses on pastoral care. It is at the heart of our school’s approach, ensuring that each child feels supported, valued, and seen for who they are. As adults, we recognise that this emotional foundation is essential for academic success and overall well-being. Over time, we can appreciate and see that our children build confidence, develop stronger relationships, and take on new challenges with determination.
I encourage families to take a moment to celebrate their child’s personal growth this term. Reflecting on these positive changes over time helps our children appreciate their own efforts, strengthens their self-belief, and sets a positive tone for the next term.
Ahead of the end of term, it remains for me to thank our NAIS Hong Kong Community for the endless support and encouragement we give our children, and each other, every day.
Wishing everyone a great holiday ahead with friends, family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
