Early Years Campus Weekly Update - Early Years Campus Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

As we approach the Christmas break, our campus is buzzing with excitement and festive energy. The air is filled with cheerful singing, lively dancing, and the diligent learning of lines in preparation for our upcoming Christmas performances. The children’s enthusiasm is palpable as they gear up to perform their plays for their families.

Year 1 Outdoor Trip with The Backyard Gang
Last week, our Year 1 students embarked on a thrilling outdoor adventure with The Backyard Gang, immersing themselves in activities that foster a love for outdoor learning and create lasting memories. The Backyard Gang prides itself in ensuring a safe and engaging environment where students are encouraged to explore, discover, and unleash their curiosity in nature.

During the excursion, our Year 1's participated in the "Clay Faces" activity. They delved into their creative side by sculpting clay faces using elements sourced from the country park. They collected natural items to incorporate as facial features and experimented with the tactile properties of clay. The sensory-rich activity allowed them to craft their unique self-portraits while connecting with nature and embracing a bit of messiness. The backdrop of Clear Water Bay, with its breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea, provided an inspiring setting for this creative exploration in the great outdoors.
