Primary Campus Weekly Update - Primary Campus Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

A great welcome back to all parents and families at the beginning of this half term. I do hope that everyone had has a restful and rejuvenating break ready for what is ahead.

Primary Campus Weekly Update - Primary Campus Weekly Update

This week, we look forward to starting our experiential learning residentials by sending children on overnight trips here in Hong Kong. We have children in Year 3 and Year 4 who are, no doubt, busily packing bags as I type to prepare for their trips! These are an exciting part of the journey for children in their progress through school life and an important part of their readiness for later life.

We also look forward to welcoming parents into school this week for our Writing Workshop. It will be a great opportunity to learn about strategies that can support and develop writing at home as well as a chance to learn about the progression in writing from Year 1 to Year 6. If there are further workshops that you are interested in, please do contact your Class Coordinators who will be able to share these with our school academic teams.

Finally, I would like to jump back to just before half term and recognise that our school achieved its Silver Accreditation for Social Impact! Our commitment to Social Impact can be seen throughout our school and is reflected not only in our words but our actions. In our whole school assembly today, we started the term by talking about ‘Making a Difference’ and what this might look like for children in school and at home. I asked the children to talk about how they will start to ‘Make a Difference’ either at home or school – a conversation that may be continued outside school too, after all, committing to making a difference through our actions and words will make for a better community.

I look forward to a great week ahead at school for our children and the school community.
