Dear Parents,
I hope you all had an enjoyable half-term break. Students and staff have returned refreshed and ready for the term ahead.
We start with our residential trips this week, with our Year 3 and Year 4 students heading off to Wu Kai Sha and Wong Yi Chau, respectively. For some, this will be their first experience staying away from home, and I know they will be both nervous and excited about the prospect. Our experienced and highly trained outward-bound providers will be taking great care of them, as well as challenging them to try new activities in a supportive and safe way. With the weather cooling a few degrees, it is perfect for outdoor activities and even a night camping.
Hot on the heels of our younger students, the Year 5 Cultural Residential trip to Beijing takes place on Monday 4th November, this is our first trip to Beijing and looks fantastic. They will need warm clothes, but I am sure they will have an amazing experience, using their language skills and visiting the main areas of Beijing.
This half term is a real opportunity for our students to delve deeper into the curriculum and learning activities. From our younger students developing their social skills and reading abilities, right through to our Year 11 and 13 students who are preparing themselves for their Mock exams in November, we are looking forward to a great half term full of learning and achievements.
Kind regards,
Sarah Harley
