This week, Year 1 held another ‘Stay and Learn’ event. It was a busy morning with nearly 100 attendees across the year group. Parents had the opportunity to visit their children's classrooms, where children proudly shared their work from the year so far and reflected on their progress.
This was followed by an Early Writing workshop led by Head of Year 1 Victoria Ben-Haim and Writing Co-ordinator Ashleigh Hetherington, where parents learned about the writing process and what
secure writing looks like by the end of Year 1. The workshop emphasised the importance of parental involvement in nurturing writing skills and building a strong foundation for future success. We hope parents left the event with a deeper understanding of their child's progress and the tools to support their educational journey. We were very grateful to see so many parents taking time out of their day to support their child's learning.
