IB art exhibition It is my pleasure to welcome you all here to our first ever IB visual art exhibition and to celebrate Kelly’s successful competition of the course.

It is my pleasure to welcome you all here to our first ever IB visual art exhibition and to celebrate Kelly’s successful competition of the course.

Kelly’s artwork explores her Chinese culture & identity. You will identify common motifs used throughout the exhibition such as the Chinese dragon and the use of the colour red. She has also experimented with traditional Chinese art making approaches such as ceramics and paper cutting, as well as contemporary skills such as laser cutting and digital media.

Kelly is to be commended for her passion, determination and motivation that has maintained consistently throughout the two year course, despite the challenges we have faced in HK. During VSE Kelly attended ceramic workshops in both HK and Shanghai, plus visited the Maker Hive in Kennedy Town to learn about laser cutting.

Kelly joined NAIS in Year 9 and it has been a delight to see her skills flourish over the years. She has grown into a very talented, hardworking and committed young lady. She has never missed a deadline and always acts on feedback in order to further improve her work.

So without further ado, it gives me great pleasure to declare Kelly’s exhibition open!
