We welcome Brian Drye, Juilliard Music Specialist on Thursday 10 January as he visits our classrooms and meets with our Music teacher. Trombonist Brian Drye has toured the world, performing with a who's who of jazz artists. A vital part of New York City’s Brooklyn jazz scene, his critically acclaimed record "Bizingas" was hailed by the New York Times as "one of the best introductions to a new band".
The Music department has been creatively embedding Juilliard activities and resources into the lessons since the official launch of our partnership last year. Ms Laura is providing us with great examples and artefacts of the students’ efforts, which we will be sharing and celebrating in the coming weeks.
