OUR GIFT TO YOU!
At Gharaffa campus last week, Year 3 students concluded their International Primary Curriculum (IPC) topic with a charitable initiative that brought together the entire school community. The students organised a Charity Chocolate Sale Exit Point to raise funds for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake relief efforts.
The Year 3 students, after learning about the devastating impact of the earthquake on the people and families in those countries, were motivated to do their part to help. They collaborated with each other in school to make an array of mouth-watering treats including chocolate cakes, lollies, fruit kebabs, and other delicious treats.
Parents at home also contributed to the charitable cause, sending in many home-baked treats to sell on the day. The entire school community came together to support the students in their endeavour. The efforts made by the students were commendable, and the staff and children in the rest of the school were equally supportive, bringing in money to spend at the chocolate sale.
The results of the students' hard work and dedication were impressive. The Charity Chocolate Sale Exit Point raised a fantastic QAR 5460, which is a considerable amount for an initiative led by primary school students. The school administration, teachers, and parents were proud of the efforts made by the Year 3 students.
It was an excellent opportunity for the students to apply their learning and skills to a real-life situation. They learned about empathy, compassion, and the importance of giving back to society. The initiative was not only educational but also fun and rewarding for the students, who were able to showcase their talents and creativity in the form of delicious treats.
In conclusion, the Exit Point Sale organised by Year 3 students at Gharaffa campus was a massive success. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the Turkey and Syria Earthquake relief efforts. The efforts made by the students were truly remarkable, and they should be proud of themselves for making a positive impact on society. Well done Year 3!
