Outstanding Results Achieved By Our IB Diploma Students for the 2018/19 Academic Year We are proud to share that our students achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

We are proud to share that our students achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

For the 2018/19 academic school year, Compass International School Doha’s (Compass) students achieved an average score of 32 points, our highest ever average score. The average score was 8% higher than the IBDP global average of 29.63 points, widening the gap between our school and other IBDP schools worldwide. This result also showcases the difference that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results.

We are delighted to announce that Aisha Serpedin, 2019 graduate, achieved 42 points out of a potential 45 points, placing in her in the top 2% of all IBDP students globally. Aisha is a legacy from our Gharaffa Campus having attended Years 2 to 4 before returning to the USA from 2010 to 2015 ultimately returning to our Madinat Khalifa Campus from 2015 to 2019 for graduation. Ms Serpedin’s future continues at Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar to study medicine.

Aisha’s achievement continues our strong record of academic excellence and year-on-year improvements. In the 2017/18 academic year, Compass graduate Audrey Palosse achieved 40 points, placing her in the top 8% of IBDP students globally and in the 2016/17 academic year, Mujahid Khan achieved 41 points, placing him in the top 4% of IBDP students globally. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a two-year education programme for students age 16 to 19. The programme is a widely accepted and recognised qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.

“This year’s results powerfully show how our students benefit from world-leading teachers who go beyond traditional education to inspire them toward success,” he said. “I’m proud of what our IB-offering schools have achieved this academic year and wish our graduating seniors a fantastic summer as they begin preparing for life after leaving their Nord Anglia school.”

All of us here at Compass International School Doha would also like to congratulate Aisha and all our Year 13 students from the 2018/2019 academic year. These students have put in incredible amount of hard work over the years at Compass and we look forward to what they will achieve in the future.

Every Nord Anglia Education school supports its students to achieve more than they may have thought possible, so a huge congratulations to all our graduates and IBDP achievers for a job well done.
