OUR GIFT TO YOU!
Compass International School Doha is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Holyome as our new Principal.
This news follows the promotion of Dr Terry Creissen OBE to Managing Director, Nord Anglia Education India. Mr Holyome will start his new position over the summer of 2019 in anticipation of the 2019/20 academic year.
Mr Holyome began his teaching career in England and went to on become Headteacher at Swanmore Middle School and Vice Principal of Ryde Academy both on the Isle of Wight. In 2007, he was awarded the National Professional Qualification for Headship. He joins our school from a successful role as Principal at the British School Yangon, which is also within the Nord Anglia Education family of schools. Prior to that, he was Principal at the Nord Anglia British Vietnamese International School in Ho Chi Minh, which he led to become one of the most successful bilingual schools in the city.
We would like to extend the warmest of welcomes to Mr Holyome to Compass International School Doha on behalf of our students, parents and team. We are positive he will be an exceptional leader for our school community across our four campuses.
Whilst Compass International School Doha looks forward to this new exciting chapter, we would like to take a moment to thank Dr Terry Creissen OBE for his incredible contribution to our school community and recognise the tremendous impact he has had on our school as our Executive Principal. During the 5 years of his tenure in Doha, Dr Creissen has been instrumental in ensuring Compass International School Doha is one of the leading schools in Qatar. He leaves behind a legacy of ambitious development, most notably our expansion to a fourth campus, Themaid. Compass International School Doha would not be where it is today without Dr Creissen’s leadership, effort and enthusiasm.
The blog highlights the transformative power of physical activity, emphasizing how it boosts energy, focus, and mental well-being. At Compass International School, promoting an active lifestyle is integral to fostering both physical and emotional health, which in turn enhances students' academic performance. The new initiative, Kickstart Kilometre, invites the school community to walk or jog together every Thursday morning, kickstarting their day with positive energy and improved focus. This approach aims to inspire a balanced lifestyle that helps manage stress and supports overall success in both academics and life.
