Outstanding Contribution to Physical Education

It is with great pleasure that we are able to present Stacey Cowe with the Outstanding Contribution to Physical Education Award. This is an excellent achievement and Stacey should be exceptionally proud of her involvement and commitment to sport.

Stacey joined Compass International School in January 2014 and studied Physical Education at GCSE. She then went onto study Sport and Exercise Health Science at IB level. Stacey has consistently performed at the top of her class and this is partly as a result of her passion for sport.

Out of the classroom, Stacey became involved with school Netball and was selected for the U16 team where she displayed excellent commitment and was rewarded with the captaincy. Stacey demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities and is a superb role model for her peers. Stacey went on to captain the U19 Netball Team for the first time in Compass history. Here, she organized and lead weekly training sessions for the team and planned in great detail the activities needed to improve her team’s Netball abilities. Stacey coached her team to a very successful end of season tournament, which is a testament to her loyalty to sport.

Stacey attends the weekly Netball training sessions for the U11, U12, U13, U14 and U16 teams and assists Miss Blick with these sessions. She has been a great help and has had a huge influence on the younger girls, where she has developed brilliant relationships with all the players. Stacey has volunteered to attend Netball matches for the younger teams and has coached and umpired at fixtures regularly. Stacey volunteered to attend the BSME Netball Games 2016 in Abu Dhabi with the U13 and U15 t eam. Her contribution to the event was outstanding. She offered guidance and feedback to all the players during and after games. Stacey videoed the whole weekend and put together a special video of all the memories shared. Stacey regularly goes above and beyond what is expected, and is a well-mannered, helpful and mature young lady.

Stacey has since received an unconditional offer to Nottingham University in the UK to Study BSc Sports Science, which is a testament to her outstanding contributions to physical education. We wish her every success in the future and thank her wholeheartedly for enriching the lives of others.
