OUR GIFT TO YOU!
Compass International School Doha students arrived in Boston this week to participate in the MIT-Nord Anglia STEAMFest. The weeklong event will immerse students in everything related to science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) with leading experts and researchers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Compass International School Doha students will join 104 students from 25 Nord Anglia Education schools globally for a programme designed by MIT and Nord Anglia Education experts. Working with professors and researchers from the university, Compass International School students will take part in innovative hands-on workshops in bioengineering, robotics, and coding to music production, gaming and virtual reality.
The inspiring programme gives students a taste of MIT’s practical, hands-on approach to problem solving. During the week, our students will build and control underwater robots that collect samples of water quality in the Charles River, design and programme their own computer games, and test and make genetically modified foods. They will also tour MIT and Harvard to get a taste of student life at these prestigious universities.

The blog highlights the transformative power of physical activity, emphasizing how it boosts energy, focus, and mental well-being. At Compass International School, promoting an active lifestyle is integral to fostering both physical and emotional health, which in turn enhances students' academic performance. The new initiative, Kickstart Kilometre, invites the school community to walk or jog together every Thursday morning, kickstarting their day with positive energy and improved focus. This approach aims to inspire a balanced lifestyle that helps manage stress and supports overall success in both academics and life.
