OUR GIFT TO YOU!
Students experienced some outdoor painting when Deborah Trew, our artist in residence, visited the 3 campuses this week. Learning about one of the pioneers of abstract modern art, the Russian painter, Wassily Kandinsky, at Madinat Khalifa Campus; students painted individual paintings. Nature inspired murals to go in our Eco Garden at Gharaffa Campus and in Madinat Khalifa later in the week along with an ambitious representation of the Doha skyline at Rayyan Campus.
CEO of Nord Anglia Education, Andrew Fitzmaurice, remarks, ‘Unfortunately, not all children are afforded such experiences. As a society, we should always think about how we can promote outdoor experiences in children’s day-to-day teaching. The rise of school gardens around the world, and in our schools, is just one example of how this can be achieved.’ To read his article in the Huffington Post click on this link: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/andrew-fitzmaurice/why-pokemon-go-points-the_b_11866998.html
