I try to wander around the school as much as possible to meet students, to see classes and events, to support staff and hear from them what issues are on their minds. I seldom feel like I do it enough.
Last week in Art, Year 8 BVIS have had the most spectacular opportunity to collaborate with two British contemporary artists who live and work in Hanoi.
The show will take place at 6pm in the BVIS main auditorium on Thursday 7th April. Tickets are free of charge and available to collect from the main reception.
It was wonderful to see members of our staff at BVIS living up to the vision statement that we set for our students for community service; leading by example they volunteered their time on Sunday to help out at the Friendship Village.
What we often fail to recognise however is that a changed world has produced a changed generation. Come to our seminar to learn how to communicate and work alongside the next generation.
It has also been ‘Celebrating Language Week’ with many exciting events taking place. We are very excited about our first inter-house interpreting competition which took place on Friday.
Over the course of the last year, we have undertaken both the Membership and the Pre-Accreditation visits from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and we embark on this Accreditation in earnest now.
We went on the trip as a way to help children further develop their communication and language, sharing abilities and also to have a chance to use their imagination in a variety of settings.
This unique seminar helps parents to establish a healthy balance between screen time and downtime each day so children can flourish mentally, physically and socially as well as assisting parents about online safety.
