APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

For your child to join us, we have a few admission requirements. Please complete our online application form and send us the following documents.
  • A signed copy of our Declaration Form.
  • Copies of your child’s most recent academic report.
  • A current teacher recommendation (we’ll send you a form to pass on.
  • Our application fee.

ASSESSMENTS AND NEEDS

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll arrange for your child to sit an assessment. This will give us a better understanding of their abilities and ensure we can meet their needs.

EYFS CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT
Our classroom assessment for EYFS students is about 30 minutes. An EYFS teacher will speak to your child, observe how they interact with peers, and determine if they’re ready to learn at our school.

CAT4 SECONDARY SCHOOL TEST
Students applying to our secondary school will complete a CAT4 (cognitive ability test) on the computer. They’ll also sit a short reading and writing assessment. We’ll arrange an informal interview with an academic staff member in Yangon, too.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
If your child has Special Educational Needs, please inform the admissions team as soon as possible. Their needs will be discussed with a teacher and relevant senior leader. Once your child is accepted, our teachers and teaching assistant will work together to support your child in the best ways possible.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST DAY

ENROLING YOUR CHILD

Once we’ve finished your child's assessment and offered them a place at BSY, we’ll ask you to formally accept your child’s spot. You’ll agree to our latest terms and conditions and secure the place with a non-refundable enrolment fee of $3,500+$1500 early notice withdrawal deposit
