Y7 MIT Exhibition

Year 7 students showcased the outcomes of their MIT Challenge, titled "Designing Solutions with AI." Over the past four weeks, the students engaged in extensive research on everyday products, utilising collected data and AI to conceptualise more sustainable and innovative versions of items we commonly use.

Throughout this process, we emphasised the learner ambitions of collaboration, curiosity and creativity. Students were encouraged to stretch these competencies by employing thoughtful questions to effectively engage with AI.

The exhibition provided an opportunity for students to articulate their ideas to both parents and staff members, who participated in reviewing and providing feedback on the projects. This interactive experience not only highlighted the students' hard work but also gave them the opportunity to build their communication skills.

How else can you participate in the MIT?

There are so many fantastic opportunities for students to get involved with our MIT Collaborations. In KS3, students participate in the MIT Challenges with their cohorts. Students in KS4 and KS5 have access to our library of MIT Abstracts which cover interesting topics involving the advancements within the fields of science and technology. Finally, all students can ask MIT experts questions about something they are passionate about.
